Student Ministry Opportunities

Our Student Ministry engages 6th through 12th grade students in the pursuit of a growing relationship with Christ. Our focus is on teaching and equipping them to live their faith everyday as they grow toward adulthood. Working closely with the Children’s and Adult Ministries, we create opportunities for students to serve and grow as an important part of our congregation.  E-mail with questions or requests for more information.

Bible Study

Students meet for Sunday Bible groups in Education South every Sunday morning at 9:15 am and on Wednesday nights in the Youth Center at 6:15 pm. Whether experiencing the study as a large group or divided into small groups, it is a time of equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to live a Godly life.

Summer Camp

Always a big event, camp gives our students an opportunity for new friends, new experiences, and new commitments to following Christ. Camp location, dates, and times will post in News and Events as the event draws near.  Register here:

Yesterday, in our online Sunday School Class, we talked about how to best pray and read the Bible. There are four steps:

1. Read the chaper twice.
2. Meditate on what it means.
3. Pray to God to ask Him to show you how it should change your life.
4. Contemplate how God wants you to apply the passage to your life.

We are challenging you to do this with a chapter a day. If you don't already have a plan to read the Bible, read Psalms 1-7 by Sunday. One chapter a day.

Also, we will have virtual youth group online Wednesday night at 6:30 PM, complete with a game, prize, worship, and lesson.

From our pastor:

Dear First Baptist Family, March 19, 2020

I have met with the ministerial staff and the deacons concerning the recent recommendations from The President and other leaders in our country concerning the COVID-19 virus. Our concern is for the safety of our entire congregation. Until this recommendation is lifted, we will adhere to the recommendation that no groups of ten or more meet. This means that all regular Sunday and Wednesday activities are postponed until the authorities have deemed it safe for social gatherings to take place. Please note that the sanctuary will not be open for worship on Sunday until we get an all clear. By doing this we can be part of our nations effort to beat this pandemic.

But our worship will continue. It will just be in a different way. Join our online worship each Sunday morning at 10:30am.

On Facebook:
The Facebook link will require an account in order to view the live stream of our worship service.

On YouTube:
YouTube does not require an account for you to view the live stream of our worship service.

Both go live at approximately 10:15 with the service beginning at 10:30. If you are not able to attend with us live at that time both Facebook and YouTube will have the recorded services available for later viewing.

If the links above do not work when you click on them, then copy and paste them into your internet browser.

We also want to encourage you to be faithful in your giving during this time.

You can go to our website and give at You can also mail (P.O. Box 7, Huffman Texas 77336) or drop your offering off at the church office.

These are tough times. These are scary times.
This is a time for Faith. This is a time for Courage.
This time will pass. Seasons always change. This is a time to look to the Lord.

Please know that I, your staff, and your deacon body are praying for you.

Hope to see you online Sunday morning.
Also, please don’t be afraid to make a comment and let your church body know how much you love and miss them.

In Christ’s Love

In an anxious time like we are in right now, we have the opportunity to show generosity and love to our community.

The Huffman Food Pantry was blessed to be able to serve many more families than usual yesterday and, as a result, have less than their normal supply of food. They are also unable to purchase large quantities of canned goods right now due to restrictions the grocery stores are placing on purchases.

If you are able to donate some non-perishable food items, our church office can accept those items today until 5 PM.
