We have a lot going on this Sunday on the live stream!

Pastor Mike will be preaching a sermon preparing us for Easter titled "Jesus Christ: Lamb of God".

At the end of the service, we will also observe the Lord's Supper. Pastor Mike will lead you in how to honor God through this important reflection on the sacrifice Jesus made for all of us on the cross. We encourage you to have bread and juice (or the closest thing you have to bread and juice) ready to participate in this ceremony with us.

Be sure to have your kids watching the live stream with you! Our Children's Pastor, Kay Stinnet, will be giving a children's sermon as well.

Our hearts ache to be with you physically. But we rejoice that although we are not present in body, we can always be together in spirit. Please join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM here on our Facebook page, or on our You Tube page at youtube.com/c/firstbaptisthuffmantexas.

A Word from your Pastor,
April 1, 2020

Important FBC Huffman News!

Tonight at 6:30 pm tune into Facebook or YouTube and catch my midweek bible study. Have your bibles ready and open to first John and let's dig into the scriptures together.

Sunday is Palm Sunday. Join us at 10:30 that day on Facebook or YouTube. I have asked our children's minister Kay Stinnett to give us a special time just for the kids. Then I will preach about the Lamb of God. Then we will observe the Lord's Supper together. Be sure to have some bread or crackers ready and some juice. I will lead you and we can all participate in this high and holy ordinance.

Easter. It is obvious to all that we will also celebrate the resurrection of our Lord via technology this year. It definitely will be one to remember. It may also be more like that first Easter than any we have ever experienced. As we are huddled in our homes, we can still celebrate the power of the Risen Lord.

Finally, I am so proud of you. I am hearing of your love, faithfulness and generosity
in this unprecedented time. May God bless each of you as you continue to grow in your walk with the Lord.

Keep praying, do not fear, and stay connected,

Pastor Mike Martin

A Word from your Pastor,

This morning I was awakened very early by an alarm going off at the church. Usually I call our Facilities Superintendent to find out what is going on. Today I didn't. I get up and head to the church. It was a couple of hours before daylight. My flashlight was put to work. I saw nothing out of order. All doors secured. A false alarm.

But remember that every alarm will not be a false alarm.

I Thessalonians 5:2 You yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

One day our Lord will return. The Bible tells us that many things like disasters, plagues, and wars will happen. It speaks of the end of times being filled with much tribulation.

But for those who trust the Lord there is salvation and hope.

Romans 10:9-10 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved.

No matter what comes, no matter the alarm - be prepared, trust in the Lord and believe.

God is good,

Pastor Mike Martin
